Cars were a passion of mine as a kid...the times have changed, but I still have a passion for the old car—and some of the newer ones, too! You'll find them here, including pictures of a '55 Bel Air coupe (doesn't sound familiar...click on this album to see it), when we add them.

This album contain pictures of Boston taken anywhere from 1983-2009. I've made 3 more albums, because I shoot so many pictures around here, they can't be put with justice in just one album! Most of my pictures now date from about 2006, when I went digital. But before...the vast majority of my pictures were taken with a Nikon F2 Photomic (a true professional's camera...thanks to my Dad), or with either a Nikkormat, or a Yashica MAT-124 (a company that no longer makes medium-format cameras...).

I've spent a lot of years living in Boston, primarily in the Neponset section of Dorchester, from 1963(?)-1968, from 1977-1992, and now again, from 1998 on. Some of the lustre of previous years is gone...so I look for the old charm in my pictures of this city known as the "Athens of America." But I have to look really hard to find it in the neighborhoods now. Dorchester especially has stripped the old heritage out of their homes, by siding them with vinyl. Ugggggh!!!

Some may call it the "Evil Empire" (especially if you're from Boston!), but it is a city we go back to as often as we can! We have the pictures to prove it, from a number of vantage points...

Once a favorite hangout of mine (I went roughly 14 times between 1983 and 1989), I haven't been back in 20 years now. Only a few of my pictures survive from that era; the ones that do are here

At one time, Southern California was home for me, between 1968-1976, and again from 1992-1998. Unfortunately...only a few pictures are left from that era of time, and nothing from the earliest years, even though I began taking pictures way back in 1969(!!!). My first picture was of the front lawn where I lived, in Santa Ana, California. What's left are the pictures I took while in Huntington Beach, California, in 1983...enjoy them!

My first subway ride was on the Red Line, sometime in 1963(?). For as long as I can remember, that subway line was a favorite of mine. In here, you'll find pictures from as early as 1975, along with pictures of rolling stock that are long gone. PCCs, Pullman's subway cars that ran the Red and Blue Lines...they're all here! Along with more recent pictures taken since my return in 1998.
